yeah I do hope he's not depressed and demotivated, he doesn't need a slump right now.

Hopefully he will feel in the mood to prepare for Indian Wells.
I was worried by his reaction when he lost to Federer at AO. Seems to have knocked him a fair bit.

Me too - I think he believed it was his moment and that it was ordained somehow - his 17th slam, same as when Federer won his first - and having dropped only one set all tournament, plenty of time to rest and prepare for the final...totally different to the way the US Open unfolded, I think he thought "this time it's mine."

I think this reverse has been much harder to take because there's been no external factors he can blame it on at all - he simply didn't play well enough on the day.

I hope he can move past it quickly and learn the lessons he needs to learn and get back down to business.

I feel bad for him though, I hate to think of him beating himself up over it.

I agree with you both Chris and l_mac. He's always been an intense person so I hope he will get through this. There's still a lot tennis left in the year so all is not lost.

From Andy's post match interview he intends to use the 2 weeks before Indian Wells begins to work hard and get himself feeling physically 100% again, hopefully that will get him into a good frame of mind for IW.

Andy seems a bit depressed with tennis atm, I can't blame him for that. You can imagine everything he put into that winter training in Miami. Such a grueling schedule solely with the aim of winning in Austrailia. He cried FFS Andy the guy who dosent show much emotion!!

I do think he is determined to find a way to beat Federer which I do support, but I hope he dosen't become like A-rod and become obsessed with that. He still has other events to play and plenty of other players to worry about. I don't know what we'll see in IW and Miami tbh...but I am predicting a very decent clay season for Andy I think he could suprise when pressure is off.

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Double Grand slam champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Holder of 9 Masters 1000 events # legend
