Andy looked rusty in that match, but that's understandable. Probably underestimated his opponent a little, needs to be careful about lapses of concentration and complacency. He was perilously close to eating a bagel after finding himself down 0-5 in 2nd set - but this seemed to rouse his fighting spirit, good to see. But credit to Mayer who played some nice attacking tennis and superb volleys.
The conversion rate of all the breakpoint opportunities and other half chances (0-30) created could be better, but I reckon his game will get sharper with more matches under his belt. Bring on Paris and London.
