Nicolae Frunza, rising young hope

He's doing much more than Ciorcila did when he was 18, having managed to win his first Futures tournament, and with Patrick basically giving up tennis, Nic remains the only young hope for this country's tennis future.

Re: Nicolae Frunza, rising young hope

And won his 2nd back to back title last weekend .

First U20 Romanian since 2004 to have 2 singles titles in the same season and first U23 since 2011.

Will be #555 on Monday ! Maybe he'll save Romanian men's singles tennis .

Borza had a few good results as well, better than Frunza until the latter "exploded" . Maybe he'll confirm too
.

Is he injured or something? He retired in his last match and haven't played a match since.
He is #442 now, career best.

He seems quite prone to injuries unfortunately and rumours have it that he doesn't train very hard.

Anyway, he played San Benedetto CH in the weekend after your message but lost. Now, back in the ITFs where he's seeded in the $25k of Pitesti, Romania.
