Re: Daniel GIMENO

Dani beat Falla 7-5 6-1 and now plays Granollers for a spot in the main draw.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Daniel lost 1-6 2-6 to Montanes on Wednesday in a bad and forgettable performance and is off to play Madrid qualifying starting on Saturday.

Re: Daniel GIMENO

Here's Daniel's draw for Madrid qualifying:

(6) RUSSELL, Michael USA v BALLERET, Benjamin MON
DE CHAUNAC, Sebastien FRA v (9) GIMENO-TRAVER, Daniel ESP

Should qualify, but we'll see what happens, can't make any promises. Good luck to Daniel in Spain this weekend!

Re: Daniel GIMENO

Daniel drew his countrymate Garcia-Lopez in Madrid. Difficult match, but one of the easier spots for qualifiers in the draw. Hopefully he plays well and there is certain to be at least one Spaniard playing Tsonga in R2.

Re: Daniel GIMENO

Daniel is also playing doubles in Madrid with Ivan Navarro and they will play Fish/Knowles in the first round, with the winner playing the Polish pair Fyrstenberg/Matkowski in R2.

Good luck in singles and doubles in Madrid, Dani!

Re: Daniel GIMENO

Dani is the only guy I'm cheering for in Madrid now that Tommy isn't playing!

¡Vivan los españoles!
Tommy Robredo
Daniel Gimeno Traver
Marc Lopez Marcel Granollers

Re: Daniel GIMENO

Daniel lost in the doubles with Navarro 3-6 1-6 to Knowles/Fish. Unfortunate but expected result. He plays his singles match today as the third match on court 4. Hope he has better luck in the singles vs. GGL!

Good stuff for Dani he drew Tursunov and the winner plays either Cilic or Mello.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
