2006 Schedule and a year without injury

Mariano starts the year in Auckland and will probably be playing qualies there and then he is off to the Aus Open.

After this he will play the Latin American circuit and is starting in Viña del Mar, then in Argentina, Brasil and then Acapulco.

He had such a good start to 2005, excellent performance against Fed in Miami and was well on the way to the semis in Monte Carlo and then the first of the injury problems started, then after that he probs with the knee, though he showed some good form.

Hopefully there won't be any major injuries for him and he can show some more of that fighting spirit.

So here is his schedule so far and basil/Louise if you are around, will kick my arse if I get anything wrong.

Auckland
Aus Open
Viña del Mar
Buenos Aires
Costa da Sauipe (there's a beach and he loves the surfing)
Acapulco

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Thanks for the schedule GWH

Oh yes.... to anyone that wants to send any good luck/new year wishes to Mariano - please mail them to me at louise@sportfiles.com - your message will go directly to him and not any "agent" I am preparing an e-package to go soon.

GWH you have done the perfect Pre-season report - I think he knows that he dare NOT get injured in 2006 or there will be trouble :8
