With Nadal's pull out, Richard has Safin, Mahut, Soderling, Gicquel, and Warwrinka in his section. He's just beat three guys in the past week alone so at least he may have some kind of upper hand.

So the guy gets tickets to some tournaments etc ^^ It's so cute
Its like you never thought to put two and two together.

You should totally see if you can score free tickets to tournaments, as well.

He should get past Gicquel or Wawrinka if he's not too tired.

Soderling/Safin shouldn't be underestimated. Both matches last week were very close and a few points could have changed the results. Plus, Safin was tired last week and he certainly will be better rested this week...

Congrats, Richard! What a great week for him. I hope he does well in Paris. When will be his first match? Is there any chance he plays his second round match only on Wednesday? It'd seem only fair as both Gicquel and Wawrinka went far in their respective tournaments this week and could use the extra Monday rest before going at each other on Tuesday.

Yes, he'll probably request for a Wednesday start and I don't think the organisers will decline

Re: |_|_|_|_| Indoor Season 2006 |_|_|_|_|

A little bit late, but nevertheless.: Félicitations, mon dauphin. The only player winning on grass, clay and indoors in 2006. Yeah, I know, those tourneys did not have the stiffest competition, but I really feel that Lyon was a good end for 2006, beating Marat on a first surface, overcoming the "trauma" of playing countrymen and winning at home.

Everything which happens in Paris-Bercy, is just icing on the cake, I don't mind if he goes out early. but : allez, Richard.

I think he was tired because he had played so many weeks in a row, and he had the DC which can take a lot out of a player. Plus in the earlier part of this year he didn't play that much because he was coming back from his injury so he's not as fit as he has been in the past and his body is getting used to him playing constantly again. I think Silver meant that he just hadn't recovered completely in 3 days and he will be better rested in Paris.

Yes. He reached the Moscow final just the week before Madrid so 3 days might not have been enough for him to recover.
