Oh, that was good. It's been a while since I've seen a match he WON on TV and it wasn't even full I think. It was his win against Hrbaty in Indian Wells. Then the only featured matches of him that I remember were his losses to Roger in IW, Wimbledon and his loss to Nalbandian in RG. So it was good to see him winning on TV.
Though the match certainly lacked quality in numerous patches, Richard was able to mix up his game so well. He even sliced the damn ball! I just don't remember him slicing so much and his slice it's often so effective and beautiful, he should probably use it more. His topspin looked exaggerated in my eyes
but it definitely paid off to send high balls to James' backhand. His forehand was erratic, but it worked some as well.
This win is so exciting, but I'll do a silverwhite
and not expect too much. Just don't lose to Verdasco, Richard!
