Allez Richie et Arnaud!

Does anyone know if there will be a live stream of the tie online anywhere? because unfortunately I will only get GB-Serbia on TV and I think watching Richie-Marat would be much more interesting than watching Arvind Parmar play!!! I'm so patriotic!

I like Marat, but come on Richard!

I'm just hoping that Marat might be rusty and then Richard can have a chance. To be honest, if I had to choose a surface for Richard to play Marat on this wouldn't be my top choice. Let's hope for another miracle!

Allez France

I also like Marat, but in this particular set-up: allez Richard!

Does it really matter? Both can play well on clay and on fast surfaces. If the surface is of any influence at all, it might disfavour Davydenko and maybe also help the French doubles team, but I am not sure about that either.

Richie beat a hot Haas in the 1st rnd. So beating a streaky Marat isn't out of the question.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Re: *+*+*+* Kicking Off 2006: Davis Cup QF *+*+*+*

Marat's comeback has been underrated. He's beaten Davydenko (twice) and Moya and it has been his serve which has been holding up his game. Richard hasn't been returning well recently (Federer match ) so...

Re: *+*+*+* Kicking Off 2006: Davis Cup QF *+*+*+*

richard can beat Safin, he KNOWS that he CAN so there's no reason that he couldnt do it.Its all about believe in himself, he looks really motivated to play such a great player as Marat Safin. He will enjoy the day no matter what will happen, I think that its more Safin who will feel some pressure in this match if richard is playin "freely" like he did against HAAS.

He can do it and will do it.AMEN

Héllo everybody!

Come Back Tournament: HAMBURG.

Allez!

Re: *+*+*+* Kicking Off 2006: Davis Cup QF *+*+*+*

Richard lost 6-7(4) 6-4 3-6 7-6(1) 1-6. Apparantly it was a good match though and Richard played well (except for maybe the 5th set... ) I just hope he can recover from this (mentally ) in time for Sunday cos if France are gonna win this tie, they're probably gonna need him at his best! Allez Arnaud though!

Re: *+*+*+* Kicking Off 2006: Davis Cup QF *+*+*+*

He lost but he showed a good fighting spirit. And he played great tennis but Marat served too well (from what I have heard)
Let's hope Sunday matches will be decisive and Richard will be able to play. (He said he will on the post match interview on french tv)

Re: *+*+*+* Kicking Off 2006: Davis Cup QF *+*+*+*

I watched the whole match, and Richard played very well, but Safin would have beaten any player with the way he served. Safin's serve won the match for him...I was also impressed with the number of aces Richard served...over 22 aces or there about, and he saved about 15 BPs.

It was a good match, Richard put up a good fight. Marat was playing insane. 28 aces.
Jesus.
