Re: BRING ON THE GRASS!! Grass Season 2013 (Halle)

I didn't see any of Richard's matches this week but looking forward to seeing him again at Wimbledon. It sounds like his form is encouraging (I was certainly happy with the way he played at Roland Garros), so hopefully it bodes well for Wimbledon. No better surface than grass to watch him on in my opinion, so truly looking forward to it.

First of course to the Boodles Exhibition, hope he can get some nice practise there against quality opposition.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?
Allez Gasquet~Mathieu~Wawrinka~Mannarino~+++

Maybe he knows the truth about Gael's serious problem and it disrupts him ??

I don't think so, Gael said somewhere that his "problem" only concerns the first week of Wimbledon, so I do not think that it is something very serious, sounds more like an obligation to be at a certain place at a certain time to me, but that is pure speculation from my part.

Gasquet leads *4-3.

It's great watching Richard play like this. He is just so much better when playing on the offensive.

Re: BRING ON THE GRASS!! Grass Season 2013 (Wimbledon)

Richard lost 6/7 6/7.

Richard was a break up in both sets but got broken immediately back after getting the break. Richard played a good match and hit some GREAT shots!! He was the better player.

Hopefully he can play 1 more match at the Boodles before Wimbledon.

Despite his loss I enjoyed the match. Many lovely shots from Richie!! Win/ loss doesn't matter much at an exhibition, does it? And I hope too Richie will have another match at the Boodles! Allez

Re: BRING ON THE GRASS!! Grass Season 2013 (Wimbledon)

I think Richard played aggressive tennis but very sloppy at times. The way he got broken back in first set, was just careless. He hit a lot of winners though and he brings that kind of aggressive baseline game to Wimbledon, good things can happen

It was an exhibition, I think he would have focused more in a real match, particularly on serve.

Re: BRING ON THE GRASS!! Grass Season 2013 (Wimbledon)

Yep, it was an exhibition, and I hope that we don't have to read much from that match since they'll potentialy meet in R3.

[9]Gasquet v Granollers
Haider-Maurer v Soeda
Blake v De Bakker
Tomic v [21]Querrey
[27]Anderson v Rochus
Petzschner v Przysiezny
Brands v Gimeno-Traver
Klizan v [7]Berdych

Richard avoid Nadal in R4 and get the player with whom he has the best H2H from the top 5-8. So this is a good draw.

Allez Richard!

Gasquet ● B.Baker ● Soderling ● Wawrinka ● Federer ● Goffin ● Sijsling ● Youzhny ● Thiem ● Gulbis ● Mahut ● Brown ● F.Mayer ● Tomic

I have to say it's a good draw. I really hope Richard will reach QF or more for the first time since 2007

Also I'm looking forward to the match against Delpo today!! I hope Richard will get more focused than the day before.

Allez Richie
