Oh yes 'to make Australia a nation to be proud of once again'
As Ms Hall has absolutely no interest in Boris Becker (indeed, she finds the mere thought of him repulsive) I think you will agree that this selfless act requires some recognition. There are very few Australians, if any, who would be willing to do such things to ensure the future of Australian tennis remains in safe hands. Indeed, with Boris Becker as a father and Maria Hall as a mother it is safe to say the future of Australian tennis is incredibly bright. I hope this letter has encouraged you to give such a brave Australian the credit she deserves.
I would like to draw your attention to a story I read in the paper, which I thought was an example of an incredibly selfless act. Maria Hall, a young Australian, realised that German tennis has been in serious decline since the heyday of Boris Becker and Steffi Graf. As a huge lover of German tennis and Germany in particular Ms Hall decided that something simply HAD to be done about this grave situation. With no thought for herself, she decided to get on a flight from Australia to Switzerland (at her own expense) and spend several years with Mr Becker reproducing a number of future German stars. With 8 boys and 16 girls (enough for 2 DC teams and 4 FC teams) I think we both agree Ms Hall has done a splendid job in helping German tennis get back to its former glory days. Having heard this story, I decided to bring it to your attention in the hope that you might give this young girl some recognition for her hard work on behalf of German tennis.
