And of course he won that point. I noticed that too and said to myself why the hell not once on 13 bps?

I think we all agree that he deserved to lose

Hopefully, this will be a timely wake-up call for Cincy and the USO. Seb needs to knock some sense into him. No more pushing

Maybe his plan was to push and push

I hope Seb didn't have any part in this plan

Richard is hopeless, truly hopeless.
I turned off after the TB, I was sure it was over.
I am speechless.

Yesterday was a disappointment, no doubt. So-called easy draws are not always an advantage for him, I feel he often plays better with tough draws.

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

Important week coming up for Richard to try make the 9-12 seeding for the US Open. He needs a good week in Cincinnati whereas Tsonga has overtaken him in the rankings and Wawrinka is 1 win away from doing the same.

[A.U.H.Qureshi] [R.Gasquet] [R.Nadal] [The Indo-Pak Express] [J.W.Tsonga] [P.H.Mathieu] [E.Gulbis] [J.Ward] [G.Monfils] [F.Verdasco] [Samir Iftikhar]

[M.Safin] [T.Henman] [G.Rusedski] [A.Roddick]

Certainly appears that way And actually worked until he choked and couldn't close out the set at 5-2 with a zillion BPs or serving at 5-3.

When Ferrer, Roddick and Soderling are back, won't he be at least 14 or 15 and a few others are hot on his trail so 9 - 12 is looking pretty dim.

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

I am going to revive our spirits. A French poster on rgnet, remined us at Richard's bad play in the first round of Madrid, and what he did the week later in Rome. The paralells are really striking: A late match, no crowds and an uninspired Richard. Come on Richard, do us a Rome in Cincy.

Everyone's too pissed off to discuss his Cincy draw?

Dogopolov in the 1st round

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

Really disappointed with his loss to Almagro........He should know that playing like a pusher does not work and hopefully he will improve cause his ranking is really on the edge as he must be seeded in the top 12 for the upcoming USO......What was he doing when he took almost a month break from tennis? Yeah, surely he practiced HARD and he coasted into the third round at Montreal largely to opponents making a lot of errors but he was hypnotized by Almagro in the third round and if I was there, I would have give him a piece of my mind.....IMHO, it was huge mistake from him to withdraw from Stuttgart which he could have won without haste....Even his serve deserted him and he was already thinking to shaking hands with Almagro .....He MUST do much better in Cincinnati.......

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

Dolgopolov is a tough one. But I prefer this draw actually because he will have to fight hard to go deep.
The goal is to reach Fish.
I will be so disappointed if he loses against Dolgo. He has to win this one!
