I like what I see so far in the second set. He is plying better, coming to net now, but Fish is also playing much better than in first set. Most importantly he is trying, lets see how he holds up mentally toward the end of the set though.

He is so pathetic. Gets broken at 5-5 again. HAS to be mental...

Collapse. Very expected at 5-5 again. Such a good played set from him until then though.

Fairly disinterested in the last game. Whatever. Richard so far does not belong to top 10. At least he didn't give up and lost second set 1-6. Outside of couple matches against top 10 this year, he has been pummeled by the rest of them physically and mentally.

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

I didn't like this performance, it has to be said he hasn't learn! What was he doing on those 2nd serves!! Only a few times he attacked it and was rewarded!!

He had his chance to break and he should of won that point instead he hit the ball into the net but credit to Fish he played a good solid match!

Both times he was broken at the end of each set!!

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

I give up on him until he really finds himself again.....Again I say it was a big mistake withdrawing from Stuttgart as he could have won there.....seeded 13th at USO unless Soderling withdraws.......He should focus more on 250s tournaments and winning one will only boost his confidence level......I am thoroughly disappointed with both of his results in Montreal and Cincinnati.....A month or so break from tennis and this is what he produces?

Something drastic needs to be done about his return

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

Who on earth is doing his scheduling? Piss poor.....His mentality is still comical and both his serve and backhand were mediocre today.....When will see a new Richard?

Re: Richard's Time In The Heat- Summer Season 2011

The more confident, aggressive player won. Richard was in both sets, until 5-5. Nothing great from Fish (and even a lot of errors in the first set) except he stepped it up just enough at the critical point of both sets and Richard crumbled.

Last few matches Richard looks a bit lethargic - no fire and that is more disappointing to me than the fact that his court position and 2nd serve return are still

Get some fire before the USO RIchard.
