Now that Richard is out of Roland Garros already, its time to look forward to the Grass Season!

The first stop is Queen's from June 6th - 12th. :D

Our boy will also celebrate his 25th birthday on the 18th of June! :D

And then Wimbledon from June 20th - July 3rd! :bounce:

What I've seen of Richard today, from the 2nd set, he only knows one way to play and that is to attack! :D

5-5, on serve

Richard back up a mini break 6-5

Make it 7-5. Richard is not making a lot of first serves in this breaker.. make it more difficult. Richard is far more serious and wants to win more it seems.

Make it 8-5 for Richard. Still one mini.

Richard up 9-6

Richard wins it 10-6. Played well when needed it. Monfils fooled around a bit more.
Richard got pissed in second set, after being loose and then unable to break back because of strong service by Monfils.

Overall, decent from Richard for first grass court match... especially given that Monfils reached semis at Halle last week, but Richard overall looked more comfortable on the surface.

:haha: I love it when he gets pissed about losing to a compatriote even in an exo.
Thanks for the comments

Cilic, who doesn't have an opponent yet for tomorrow, I think it will be a good match for Richard if he plays him.

Thanks all for your posts about the match. I am glad he's back on grass. Looking forward to watching him play. (I'll be overwhelmed with work in the next two weeks though  )

I have only seen the end. David wins 6-3 0-6 10-5. Some good returns from Rich like on SP, but the rest was rather average.

And the pigeon continues... Richard wins the second set 6-0 and then remembers he's playing Nalbandian and falls apart in the TB.

I saw last 3 games of second set and the super TB. NOthing great, even if the set was 6-0 and then the pigeon factor took over for RIchie in the TB. In what I saw Richie didn't look very aggressive, except on a few service returns, his serve was really off and don't think he came into net once, except when pulled in by drop shot from Nalby. Hope he doesn't play like that next week.

didn't see it but if it was anything like the second match yesterday which I did see where Verdasco blatantly tanked at the end to get off court because of the rain then I wouldn't worry too much.

It's just an exo lets see what he does on the real thing.
