Too early to tell probably, we'll have to be patient until mid next week.

True but maybe he needs matches on the grass, actually we need to know how serious the injury is, he might not even be able to play till Wimbledon starts.

This is where Facebook or Twitter for Richard comes in very handy.

Re: Bring on the Grass Season!!! :D

I don't think if this was the problem but if you remember towards the end of the match between Gasquet and Djokovic it looked like Richard landed on his leg, at first glance it didn't look bad but maybe now it's got worse??

If he misses Wimbledon: he is officially the UPOAT (Unluckiest player of all times)

Re: Bring on the Grass Season!!! :D

Or it could be something completely different.

I would like to think that he's just being very sensible with his scheduling and making sure he's ok for Wimbledon. Better to miss Queens by far. Also re match practice there are grass courts in Paris.

Re: Bring on the Grass Season!!! :D

Hope he can play Wimbly but with no prep tourney, it'll be difficult to adapt on grass. he's so unlucky especially because Fish, Nole and probably Murray pulled out of Queens, he could have had a real chance to win

Re: Bring on the Grass Season!!! :D

Maybe not as difficult as in previous years. He was saying that RG was playing faster than wim this year anyway.

Richard retired from Queens. Why does he so often have to be injured when the grass comes up? Hip and thigh injury. :
I cannot believe his "luck"

Is there a word from his camp? How serious is this? Is he playing the week before W? Anything?

So far there hasn't been no comments from his camp. When he's been injured before, we hardly hear how serious the injury is... etc.

Last year when he got injured in Queens and then when he had his MRI scan, he still wasn't sure if he would play Wimbledon and then he withdrew a day before the draw.

I hope someone can tell us how serious the injury actually is.

Re: Bring on the Grass Season!!! :D

I got a text message from Eastbourne tennis saying:

Quote:
However, there are wildcard entries still undecided 4 AEGON International + Richard Gasquet, who pulled out of Queen's with injury, could fill one of these places.
Not much but maybe if Gasquet is fit it's likely who could get a WC.

OMG. I feel so tempted now. Venus is playing (for now ) and Richard and Serena might play. I still don't feel secure enough to book tickets though
