Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

Richard just lost 6-3,7-5,7-6(4) to Fed. I couldn't watch the match (thanks ESPN), but I hope he played well! An amazing run, even if he didn't win the whole tournament.

Best of luck in RG!

Mardy Fish for president.

Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

Disappointing that he didn't get a set at least with all those BPs and deuces on Federer's serve but it was definitely closer than expected. Hopefully this final will prepare him for RG.

Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

I'm confident he can win his first title today, but he even can't get just 1 set.I didn't followed the livescores till the last set,I'm so sure he definitely can break RF's serve till the bt bad feeling instead of.
0-2 recorder in final, waiting for the one.

Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

Richard played well today.
He only lost his serve twice in the match: the 1st at the very beginning and the 2nd at 5-5 in the 2nd set. Unfortunately he didn't convert any BP. But anyway, I think he can be proud of his tournament.
I also think that he has learnt a lot recently and will be able to deal with the pressure. The other positive point is that he will be seeded in RG.
So good luck in Roland Garros.
I only hope he won't meet PHM in the draw
except if it's in final!!!
I am just dreaming

Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

even if he lost, I m proud of what he done.He is a qualifier, played two match more than federer and reach his first master serie finale.

He played well but federer is the n°1, he is more experienced and a great fighter.Lets wait a few time and richard will be able to worry him in that kind of match.

Bravo richard and good luck for roland garros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come Back Tournament: HAMBURG.

Allez!

Re: ~*Musketeer-to-be*~Richard Gasquet

How can we not be proud of Richard?? LOL I checked the scores online this morning and even though I thought Richard was going to lose there was a little part of me that was saying he could really walk away with the title.

I am just so happy he will be seeded for Roland Garros!! Hope he will advance far and have a great draw!!!

He has never played a 5 setter at the AO as far as I am aware. He has only played in the main draw here twice and the first time in 03 he lost to Misha Youzhny in 4 and then in 04 to Mayer in 3 sets. I know he lost to Nalbandian (was it?) last year in 3 sets at Roland Garros and he lost the year before in 3...can't remember who he played. So I think the only 5 setter he has actually played was at Wimbledon last year. (Which he should have won *shakes fist*)

(Sorry if this has been sorted out already )

GOOD LUCK

Fernando Verdasco | Paul-Henri Mathieu | Richard Gasquet

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga | Marat Safin | Juan Carlos Ferrero | Carlos Moya | David Nalbandian | Mathieu Montcourt | Nicolas Mahut

No, sorry if I didn't make myself clear, but what I meant was has Richard even won a match that wasn't best of three? I know that he only played one five setter in his life at Wimbledon against Kenneth Carlsen which he lost last year. And I know that he never played a 5 setter anywhere else, but I was just wondering out of all the best of 5 set matches (including matches that were 3 and 4 sets) has he won any of them?
Your dead on with the guys he has lost to that were best of 5 set matches. I know everyone he has ever played in a main draw Grand Slam also (it hasn't been that many, LOL).
I was just making sure that I was correct when I said Richard had never won a match that wasn't best of three meaning any match where you needed three sets to win. Since he' lost 1st round in every single Grand Slam match he played he musn't of ever won a match where you need three sets to win (not two).
Yeah it sounds so confusing sorry, but that's what I meant.

The exibition sounds great. I can't wait to see photos from it!!
