Max Purcell

Born April 3rd 1998
Right handed (two handed backhand)
Born in Sydney
183cm (6'0")

Amazingly won a South Korean Challenger (only his 3rd ever Challenger) last week from qualifying and has surged into the top 400. Not the strongest of fields (highest ranked opponent was #240 Luke Saville), but still very impressive from an 18 year old.

Made the quarter-finals of the boys' Australian Open this year but hasn't played any other junior events in 2016.

Yup I know his dad... Max is taking his HSC seriously but I'm sure we'll see him back on court plenty of times over Summer and at AO too.
