If I have worked it out correctly Pete would be around 10 points away from keeping a spot in the top 100 until the end of the US Open if he can win this challenger. I know it is still a long time before that but he needs to gain these points very soon because those results from last year are starting to creep up on him.

Hopefully Pete also puts in a good performance in Bastad next week, in the challenger in Poznan the week after and also Gstaad the week after that. If he at least wins Poznan or the Dutch challenger this week he should keep his spot in the top 100 which is exciting. Come on Pete we have to keep another Aussie in the top 100 and playing ATP reguarly.
There is no point ranting about rankings or making predictions for the future, or even the current tournament he's playing in. Yes it would be great for Pete to have a high enough ranking to play ATP Events, I'm sure he's doing what he can. Give it a rest.

Nothing more to add really.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Luczak will go down to 2000 in the rankings. He lost 6-2 6-1 to Janowicz, just hope nothing is too wrong.

Båstad coming up maybe he wants to play his Bundesliga match tomorrow and then go back to his second home.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

[3] David Ferrer (ESP) bye
Fabio Fognini (ITA) - [WC] Filip Prpic (SWE)
Pere Riba-Madrid (ESP) - Peter Luczak (AUS)
Pablo Cuevas (URU) - [6] Paul-Henri Mathieu (FRA)

That is Pete's quarter for Bastad. Riba-Madrid is actually in pretty good form on clay so could be a tricky first round encounter. Not sure about the Mathieu second round match up if Pete makes it passed the first. Hopefully he can pick up at least one win here.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Strange match he was down 1-5 in the 3rd set. Riba had *5-3 40-0 and couldn't close it out.

Then Pete lead *6-3 in the TB.

I know, I was watching the scores... it was agonising... to comeback from 1-5 down and 3 MPs at 3-5 only to throw away 3MPs in the tiebreak! What's going on with Pete??
