exactly, Australian Open direct entry is the clear goal, Sydney and Brisbane would probably help him to be in qualies for match practice. I'm sure winning a main draw match at AO is much more improtant than winning one at the warm-up tourneys.

Good Luck tonight Pete

Well he will make the AO and finish the year in the top 100 and that was the goal for the end of 2009. Next year things change as he will be able to play the South American clay events after the AO and has to win at that level.

Winning matches at the AO are the key, even if he played qualies in Syd/Brisvegas, making the main draw is worth more than a 1st round loss.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Pete defeated Hajek 6-1 6-4 in San Marino this year. Hajek won the other 2 matches in 3 sets but they were in 03 and 05. This is clearly the best section of the draw with Gimeno-Traver in there as well.

Hajek gave Pete a good beating 6-2 6-2, in spite of what rankings baby Matchu says, he will be safe for the AO entry.

He will lose some points, but such is life.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I just don't place much importance on points.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Australia's got 20 players in the top 500 but only two in the top 100 and they're 28 and 30 years old. I wrote an article about this on my site.

to Luczak for reaching a career high (#66 on Oct 5) at 30 years old!

Pete is back in Sweden playing the Stockholm Open next week. He is at 64 now.

Pete is playing Pim Pim Johansson in the 1st round of Stockholm, he isn't winning this unless Pim Pim retires.

Pim Pim is a tough assignment for him - is this being played on hardcourts? Sorry - I'm not lazy, I just can't check for myself because it takes me half an hour to load anything because of my internet.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Yes, it's indoor hard and Pim Pim the serving beast that he is.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".
