Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

I personally hope Pete sticks to South American challengers where he is likely to get his best results from - playing on clay. Maybe early next year he can test himself on the ATP circuit in Australia (I'm not sure if he will have direct entry), but that doesn't matter right now. What matters right now is that he keeps up the good results.. and if he does this then rankings will follow.

It's better for his pelvis as well to stick to the clay, but like I said San Marino is a high quality event and would be cool if he did well there. I just want him to remain healthy and as you said he keeps up the good results over a sustained period of time, then it will fall into place.

He feels comfortable in Poland and they are cool pics, the crowd would be happy hearing a winning speech in Polish

I get your point, in the end if you have the right results you get'll the ranking you need, get into higher level tournament etc. But as a player it'll defiantely be something you think about a lot, to be able to set goals against ie. breaking into the top 100 or getting his highest ranking. Got to have some way to mark your performance against other players. Hopefully he can keep the form he has been.

I also think he would like to play the main draw at Wimby once so he's played at all four slams, top 100 would be the obivous goal there. It would have to be the reason why he played qualies this year.

There is an end goal and that is to finish the season in the top 100, so once that is achieved, then 2010 can be thought about. Yes, he wants to have one go at Wimbledon before he retires, even though grass is not for him.

No point getting ahead of anything, look what happened with the injury and it can strike at any time.

Pete made the quarters over Alund 6-3 7-5.

Another final playing De Bakker, good to see Pete's fitness base serving him well.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".
