Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Peter lost in the 1st round in Boratland 6:3, 2:6, 6:4.

He needs the break and it's not a bad thing he lost and it was good of him to turn up and play despite the result.

Yes, Peter is on the alternate list of Sopot.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Guess it will be a few quiet weeks from Peter now as he has lost in Almaty, can't imagine him hanging around in Kazakhstan waiting for next wks tourny. Hopefully he will still get into MD Us Open. I think the cut for US open is mid July (16th)

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

I'm not sure the US Open will be that important to him, it seems plausable that he will concentrate on the remaining clay tourneys like Sopot and Bucharest, where he has realistic chances of achieving good results. Hard courts may become interesting for him again in the very late season and the Australian tour.

TT Singles 2012: W: Winston-Salem SF: Honolulu CH, Rotterdam, Memphis, 's-Hertogenbosch, Wimbledon, Beijing, Vienna QF: Barcelona, Nice, Bastad, Petange CH, Bangkok R16: Monte Carlo, Madrid
TT Doubles 2012: W: Caloundra CH (with kingroger), Acapulco (with keqtqiadv) F: Beijing (with KittyTennis) SF: Sydney (with Belludal), Memphis (with Belludal), Guadalajara CH (with kingroger), Wimbledon (with RHB1993) QF: Barcelona (with extremaduratenis), Cincinnati (with stbanchile)

I think he will play, Stuttgart Q's, Kitz, sopot, and then go onto the hardcourts to prepare for the US open. The only other thing would be to stay on the clay until 1 week b4 Us open and jsut practise on the hard. I would be very surprise if he dicides to miss out on US open as he has said that his goal was to make MD Us open.

I agree with zizz here. Pete will want play the US Open for sure.

Peter is getting married this weekend, while I don't like marriage. I just hope that he and Katerina have a union that lasts forever and all the best to a very decent human being.

Peter has hurt his foot, I saw him limping around in bastad. I just hope it is nothing serious. Also hope he has a great wedding day. Hopefully some photos will appear on maybe the TA site..

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Hope he plays Stuttgart, he has a few fans there and more importantly his foot isn't too injured.

zizz, you haven't been spending too much time in Pepe's have you?

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

He has withdrawn from Stuttgart qualifying. If he is still limping around two weeks after playing his last match, it sounds pretty damn serious, and a real shame as he will probably miss the opportunity to achieve a record ranking over the coming months.
