Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Peter has now moved up to 149 and there are a couple more challengers that have some big points and would like to see him keep on improving.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

awesome effort from peter hopefully things keep going his way. Does Australia still get a WC for the French? I think Peter deserves it, if he gets a good draw and grinds his way through a couple rounds, he could sneak into the top100 by june.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Luczak is playing a 25K Challenger in the Canaries. He beat Baccanello after he retired at 3-0 and Checa-Calvo in straight sets.

He now plays Pashanski in the QFs, he needs to beat this prick again and he has a big chance of making the final here.

Yes, Luczak knocked out the racist and now plays Ruiz-Cadenas. Hope he can win that one, but either Ventura or Andujar is the favourite in this one.

Peter saved 5 match points and won 6-7 6-3 7-5

On his way to that RG WC, common Australia, surely they can't give it to anyone else..

Keep it up Luczak

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Extremely good win for Luczak today, Ventura is in great form and much better than his ranking suggests. At this level Luczak would be able to win matches in ATP tournaments if he had the chance to play them.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Let's hope Peter can carry this good clay court form into Roland Garros and get through a couple of rounds. At this rate he will be playing main draw US Open. Hopefully he will get into Top 100 soon and actually do something unlike someone (Guccione).

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Funny how once he is winning people want to know about him, but nevertheless he is showing some good form at the moment and he has always worked hard, but the top 100 is still a big step away.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Luczak Likely to get Wildcard
13th of May 2007

With the French Open vastly approaching Australia's Peter Luczak is gunning for the one wildcard that is reserved for an Australian.

The French Federation of tennis and Tennis Australia have an agreement that ensures one woman and one man from Australia or France will play in the foreign slam and vice versa.

Luczak, who is currently ranked 149 in the world has won his second challenger of the year in Spain, the first coming in Morocco.

Victiorian Luczak is set to jump fellow aussie Mark Philippoussis in the rankings which will bring him to the third highest ranked Australian on the tour.

Chris Guccione and Lleyton Hewitt both of which have already secured a place in Roland Garros are the two higher countrymen of Luczak.

A decision on who will receive the wildcard will be made shortly before qualification gets underway, although Luczak's outstanding last month and a half on clay has led him to two titles, a runner up and a semifinal to his credit.
I think Luczak will get it I mean who else is going to
