Plays Golubev next.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

A tough fighting 3 setter unfortunately sees Looch bow out 67(5) 64 36 to Golubev.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Good effort there.

Does anyone have any information on what Pete might do next year?

I guess he has 3 options:
1) Play on thru 2012 and give it another crack. Have no choice but to grind it out on the challengers and ATP qualies, chances are the ranking will gradually slide down unless he is really inspired.
2) Play farewell tournaments over the 2012 Aussie summer. May be WC play-off, Brisbane Qualies, Sydney Qualies, AO Qualies, then may be an Aussie challenger before hanging up the raquets.
3) Retire now.

Thoughts?
My heart says Option 1, I love him too much. But my head says it just hasn't been working out may be its his time.
Option 2 could lead to a lot of disappointing results.

He's not playing the WC playoff. If he doesn't play get a singles WC to Aus Open. I think he should as years of service, if not he will play doubles with Hewitt and finish.

I said he was finishing at the Aus Open. He has a loving family, already preparing for life after tennis.

This is understandable, but it is still very sad, I always liked it...

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Luczak, 32, and ranked 271st, is likely to contest singles qualifying at Melbourne Park next month. ''Hopefully I'll play - I'll just see how much training I'm doing and hopefully have a run in the doubles,'' said Luczak, a proficient clay-courter who played seven Davis Cup ties and three times reached the Australian Open's third round.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Why is Peter practising in Perth? Would he not be better off in outdoor hardcourts in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne?
