Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Hooray. Looch falls over the line, at last winning a close match. After blitzing the 1st set 6-0 against Danai Udomchoke, Looch let a break advantage slip in the 2nd set but got to the tie-break. With Looch 3-1 up, Udomchoke won the next 6 points to take the tie-break 7-3 and the match into a 3rd set.
Again a break up at 3-1 in the 3rd, Udomchoke got it back even to get to 5-5 but Looch broke Udomchoke to go 6-5 and then served out the match... eventually.
Well done Looch. Now backs up to play German Andre Begemann, which will be a tough match.

Looch on the grass he actually won a match last year at Wimbledon.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Looch & Lleyton come from behind and steal the match from Bracciali/Cermak, winning the Match Tie-break 12-10 on their 3rd match point, after dropping the 1st set 4-6 and squeaking through the 2nd set 7-4(2). Great for Looch and some valuable grass court match time for Lleyton.

Great win for the boys. Most likely the no.2 seeds Butorac and Rojer next. Hopefully L&L can give them a good match and progress to the next round!

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Good news for Looch. Deserves a bit of luck this year, he has had enough close results going against him. Hopefully will help his confidence and preparation for the Wimbledon qualies.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Looch up against Denmark's Frederick Nielsen. Up 3-2 on serve.
A close affair at 44 in the 1st, faced break-point but held for 5-4.
Tie-break in 1st set.

Looch out in the carpark and drops a tough opening set to Freddie 10-8 in the tiebreaker.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Nooo Looch. Gets back from 1-4 down in the TB to have set point at 8-7 serving, but drops TB 10-8 to lose the 1st set.
Now down a break at 3-1 in the 2nd set. Fight back Looch.
And he does fight - breaking and levelling the score at 3-3.
Nielsen break Looch again to serve for the match at 5-3, Looch fighting at 30-30.
Loochie bows out 76 63.
