Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Pete stepped it up indeed, matching and beating Dimitri Tursonov, coming from a set down (46), to win the 2nd in a tie-break, showing ticker to hang in and after not converting 3 set points, eventually closing off the breaker 8-6. Looch got a break mid 3rd set and saved a break-back point when serving for the match to win the 3rd set 6-4. Well done done Peter.

Good stuff hope he makes MD, but good match practice anyway for the man.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Good work Pete. Berankis will be tough though.

Great win over Tursonov.......well past his best tennis but still a hugely gifted and dangerous opponent. Good luck for the final match.

Great win for Pete and humble as always in victory. Would be great to see him in the main draw but as Audacity said, Berankis will be extremely tough. Best of luck mate.

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Berankis, who is the same type of player as Pete but with a better serve and great groundies and of course youth on his side, was too strong for Pete, winning in 3 sets

Tough enough draw to have to play Tursunov and Berankis.. hopefully he's getting all of the tough draws out of the way before the Open

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

Great news for Looch. He deserves a break, almost qualified against good opposition and is a hard worker. He will give his best no matter what the score or who the opposition is.

Pete has beaten Jones in Sydney qualies 6-2 4-6 6-0. Ran away with it at the end and now plays Kubot in the next round.
