Shouldn't they all have separate threads?

Re: But Wait There's More - Whittington, Harris, Grills, Mousley and Bourchier

I thought I would give this thread some bumpage given the recent success of Whittington: a futures title and final in September as well as three consecutive doubles titles with Bolt.

If he keeps this up he'll be in the running for some January qualifying wild cards and his very own MTF thread (or someone can even start one now!)!.

I thought Whittington would continue his run at the Sydney Futures. Is he just having a rest or is he injured?

Yep, playing college tennis in Oklahoma. He's also into the final of the USA F27 this week, beating world no. 212 and no. 1 seed Austin Krajicek in the semis - hopefully he can take out the title.

Re: But Wait There's More - Whittington, Harris, Grills, Mousley and Bourchier

Harris did take out the title. A good win for his first Pro-tour title. Well done.

In Melbourne Whittington came from a one set 16 deficit to post a first round win over Adam Feeney, taking the next two set 62 62. Nice work, a pity for Feens.

And Maverick Banes causes an upset win over No.2 seed Frenchman Stephane Robert 76(6) 16 63. Robert won a bit in Oz at the beginning of the year, boosting his ranking, for a good run the remainder of the year.

MELBOURNE CHALLENGER

Rnd 2: Wild card Whittington pushes No.8 seed Brit James ward (ATP180), coming from a break down at 4-5 to win three games in a row and take the first set 75, but not having enough to beat Ward, eventually losing 75 46 36 in a tightly contested match. A pity.
