Hmm... I would have expected Carsten to win.

Very poor loss there indeed.

Another choke by Carsten today....so many chances to win the match and set up a reasonably easy path to qualify

Yeah... Carsten is definitely one of the worst players around in clutch situations .....

Marrinaro is good but Carsten clearly had chances. What a shame. Marrinaro beat Polansky today easily......

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

Ball loses another close one to Przysiezny this time 67(5) 76(5) 67(1). He could be off to play AO Qualies now if Millman or Guccione can rack up a few wins.

Baker (USA) - Bedene (SLO) - Bellucci (BRA) - Berta (SWE) - Cuevas (URU) - Domijan (USA) - Ebden (AUS) - Estrella (DOM) - Grigelis (LTU) - Guccione (AUS) - Heliovaara (FIN) - Kavcic (SLO) - King (BAH) - Kontinen (FIN) - Kubler (AUS) - Lajovic (SRB) - Matosevic (AUS) - McGee (IRE) - Millman (AUS) - Mitchell (AUS) - Nielsen (DEN) - Nieminen (FIN) - Paire (FRA) - Udomchoke (THA)

I agree with jmf07. Not enough runs on the board to get the wild card I dont think. Into the qualies he goes which if he gets through may really help him.

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

Well, as undeserving as he was of a wildcard, Ball has gotten lucky and drawn one of, if not the worst hardcourt players in the world, Pere Riba. If he can't beat Riba at home then he is in serious trouble.... the worrying thing is if Carsten wins, Woodbridge will feel justified in his decision.

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

what a loss. Hopefully he gets himself out of this form slump soon. Woodbridge trying to outdo himself with the Kubler wildcard selection from last year it seems.

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

I honestly can't remember the last time Carsten won a Main Draw match... I'm sure he has won some qualies matches... but really, this WC is unjustified.

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

I was actually violently ill after I saw this result.... woodbridge in great form again. Riba's first ever win on hardcourts.... and it was against Ball playing at home in a slam. Carsten needs to work on his attitude out on the court, it always looks like he is in a negative mindset.

Re: It's nice to have you Carsten.

"Go-lieth" down for Carsten. Has not had a win since September. Got the yips bad. Somebody else's turn now for the wild card. If he can't maintain his ranking below 150 after about 6 Grand Slam WC's then he does not deserve the chance that comes with those wild cards.
