Re: J.P. Smith

Smithie goes down to Skugor 60 in the 3rd after winning 1st set and losing 2nd set in the tie-break. Hope he is not injured.
Expected him to qualify here.

John sneaks in to the main draw as a lucky loser. Plays Amir Weintraub tomorrow.

Re: J.P. Smith

Good win for JP over an in-form Matt Reid.
Now take that winning formula into the match against Smebden, the WC specialist (he has so much luck in these draws, it is incredible)

Re: J.P. Smith

Jipper tips Ebden out with a come-from behind win, outlasting Ebden to win 36 63 64.
Go JP Smith.

Re: J.P. Smith

Jipper went down to muscle man Bogomolov after winning first set 61, but then lost 63 63.

As a consolation JP and Grothie took out the double title, winning 64 61. It will give his dubs rankings a boost.

Re: J.P. Smith

JP has drawn the Tall Czech youngster Jiri Vesely in first round quals. Interestingly Vesely has played no grass court matches at senior level!
