Re: John Peers

Talking of WC's into the Oz Open - one guy who will not be sweating on getting a WC (into the doubles) will be John Peers.
Peersie will be pretty happy being ranked at 29 in the ATP doubles, a fantastic year for him, on which he can build for the future.

Re: John Peers

Lost 3-6 6-3 3-6. Was up a break early in the first as well. Pretty decent effort though from Johnny.

Re: John Peers

Decent effort, getting a set off Robert. That will brush the cob-webs off. Hope he plays more singles, but not to the detriment of his doubles.

Re: John Peers

Another ATP doubles title for the quiet no fan-fare John Peers at Brisbane.
Some great serving and excellent volleying saw John and partner Jamie Murray hold off a strong challenge from ATP singles giants Dolgopolov and Nishikori, winning the match in straight sets 63 76(4).

The win may propel the pair back into seeding contention for the Oz Open. Hope so.

Re: John Peers

Yep very nice result indeed.

Imagine Popsicle was a bit pooped after his five set victory over Troicki, but a result is a result!

Re: John Peers

Great way to win, I thought they were wasted by the 5th set! So John Peers is the last Aussie man standing at Wimbledon this may get him a DC spot
