Tennis Australia Marketing Program?? - Is that what it is called?

Can someone help me out with this? I have been told that a few of our players and others - not sure of all of them - have signed up with Tennis Australia Marketing. Apparently this marketing Program is to help them with sponsorship and guidance etc. I am not talking about AIS or training programs.

Surely this can't be right. If you have a few chosen kids in such a program wouldn't that be unfair to the others. It would be obvious that if they have been chosen for such a program they would be gifted with wildcards and other sponsorships - above others whose results are better. Is this true? I am not sure of all the details - if anyone has any idea would be pleased to hear. I have been given some names but don't want to publish in case it isn't true.

yes I have heard TA have their own management, that a few of the kids in AIS not only have AIS but that TA set up major sponsors for them.

If this is true is wouldnt it be conflict of interest. ? Are they not meant to be looking after a Nation of players, how can they employ managers for a few ?

How can they actually predict who will come through to allow only a few this luxury, when the majority are struggling to pay for this sport. I mean look how much they sunk into Nichols, he was great but decided to play football instead, look how many have given up along the way, what if this happens with the next lot, give up ? Injury ?

You would think TA would learn from history and even it all out ,, maybe then we would have a lot more chance of getting players through.

Do not understand their thinking at all.

How stupid are TA going to look if Tomic goes to play for Croatia? lol Don't be surprised! Because his father thinks TA didn't do the right thing by his son hahahahaha - let's see private coaches, private trainers, website paid for by TA, sponsorships, and on and on and on ....and then threatesn to leave Australia because he didn't get the right time slot? omg
