Re: Alex Bolt

An inauspicious year for Bolt to-date - no great stand-out tournaments, so a Fail imo to-date.

He has earned 50 pts tis year, with 90 pts to defend (28 of those between Xmas & New Year).

Looking for a strong 2nd half of the year for Bolt, to be a Pass

Re: Alex Bolt

Not sure what to make of this year from Bolt. Career high ranking without over playing is a plus however he needs to gain some points quickly to get into US Open quallies. Next year will be when he makes his move in my opinion.

Re: Alex Bolt

Not a good result for young Bolt, who will slide down the rankings after that showing.

Re: Alex Bolt

MELBOURNE CHALLENGER

Aussies not fairing well in Melbourne, but this time against a fellow Aussie:
Bolt goes down against James Duckworth (ATP147). Expected, but Bolt did fight back after the rain delay, from a break down in the 1st set to go to the tie-break, but out-gunned there 2-7, and then drops first service game of 2nd set, and not able to get it back, eventually going down to Ducky 67(2) 36.

Alex is in the final of the Melbourne Clay court futures tournment. He beat Matt Barton in 3 sets and will play 17 year old Blake Mott.
