Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

Ben defeated the third seed and the Auckland doubles champiion Marcus Daniel 75 62. Well done Ben. Now plays Michael Leong for a spot in the Quarters. I think he would be confident of a win there.

Outstanding stuff. Will be tough for him to make the final but a great week for him.

As expected Ben lost 63 60. Great week for him and it would be great to see him produce something similar next week at Bundaberg.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

Ben, played great this week. Finally inside the top 1000 now after such a long time just sitting outside of it. Good Luck next week in Bundaberg, Go Mitchell.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

To answer Hewitt2010's question in the Jason Kubler thread, Ben Mitchell's ranking will move to about 870 in the world, the semifinal appearance in Ipswich gave him 8 points on top of his already accumulated 7 points but because he made quarters in Ipswich last year 3 points will be taken off the 8 he gained and he will have a total of 12 points. This week in Bundaberg Ben also has 1 point to defend which I would pressume he would be able to get.

It's funny how Ben Mitchell makes the semifinals and already had ranking points yet Jason makes the final and gets a higher ranking than him.

Good Luck in Bundaberg Ben, we all want another banana party in this thread.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

Ok thanks Matchu. Also does anyone have the draw for Bundaberg im really keen on seeing how the youngesters got their draws. Hoping Kubler can make a real big inprestion again this week, and Saville would be great to see him getting great results in future events. Also good luck to Mitchell as well.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

Great start to Bundaberg this week. Mitchell won his first round match against Chris Letcher 6-3 6-4, in the second round he will come up against most probably Joel Lindner who is the 8th seed, good luck to him.

Re: Ben Mitchell's Banana Party

At Wimbledon Juniors after a first round loss at Roehampton.

QR1: Benjamin Mitchell AUS [4] vs. Pavel Krainik CAN | 6-2 6-1
QFR: Benjamin Mitchell AUS [4] vs. Christopher Simpson GBR [WC] | 6-7(6) 7-5 6-3

And his MD

Tiago Fernandes BRA [3] vs. Tom Farquharson GBR [WC]
Dane Webb USA [Q] vs. Mick Lescure FRA
Benjamin Mitchell AUS [Q] vs. John Morrissey IRL
Victor Baluda RUS vs. Kevin Krawietz GER [16]

Ben has a winnable first round. If he makes it to the second round he will face the winner of the G2 Garry Weber Junior Open, Kevin Krawietz or Victor Baluda who has been in good form of late. Good luck Ben
