Re: Matthew Ebden

A tight match, an unfortunate result for Ebden, down on confidence, that won't help.

Re: Matthew Ebden

sadly this year, which promised so much with a new wife and a new coach in Macnamara, has been a bit of disaster for Matthew. Perhaps going back to challengers for a bit might assist and give him some confidence and get some wins on the board.

Re: Matthew Ebden

Matthew so badly needs some wins to restore his confidence. This year's results have been pretty dreadful. hopefully he and Macnamara will click into place soon.

Re: Matthew Ebden

This event in An-Ning is on red clay, i'm surprised there are red clay courts in China.
Matt is top seed in a draw crowded by asians and other australians & a few europeans.

If he can win this tournament he'll be back up around 115 & a good chance at Wimbledon direct acceptance with another good result after. But Matt on clay.........
Not many points to defend over the next few weeks/months so come on Matty!

His ranking could be 150 and he'll gain WC from tennis Aus. He just needs to win to gain some confidence.

That would be living up to his seeding but not his ranking funnily enough; Ito comes in as a qualifier and the highest ranked in the draw!

That's what you got when you enter late. And he has to face the second seed in the first round...

Good wins and the draw has open up for him. Could be on track to win his first ever ATP challenger event.
