Re: Luke Saville Cheering Thread

They call the lucky losers lucky but it's the one's who draw them in the first round who are lucky.

Re: Luke Saville Cheering Thread

SF [7] Saville defeats Adrijic 6-4 7-5 to progress to the final. Was up a break in the second and got pegged back before breaking again at 5-5 and serving it out. Great week for Luke, here's hoping for the cherry on top!

Re: Luke Saville Cheering Thread

The hard work is not over yet Saville. Make it all worthwhile by taking out the final.
He will most probably play Yasutaka Uchiyama (ATP319), who is a set and a double break up in his semi against Takeuchi
Saville plays Uchiyama, who won his semi at a canter.

Well he's well and truly back in the mix now, particularly for a qualifying wild card.

Re: Luke Saville Cheering Thread

Mmmm - interesting observation of the fickle Aussie Men's Forum.

Not a peep about Jones's win last week from anyone else
but raptures about Saville's win this week.

Very happy for Saville. Nice guy, looks like a tennis player too, good physique. As said above he really needed that win.

Re: Luke Saville Cheering Thread

MELBOURNE CHALLENGER

Aussies not fairing well in Melbourne.
After his Futures win last week, expected more this week, but Saville goes down to Hiroki Moriya (ATP183) 46 16.
Match was played indoors due to the rain.

Not 100% sure, but most likely at the Aussie Challenger tournament in Traralgon, Victoria next week.
