Simon Stadler GER [6] vs. Matthew Ebden AUS
Sebastian Rieschick GER [Q] vs. Yuichi Ito JPN [Q]
John Millman AUS vs. Sho Katayama JPN [Q]

I wonder how he will go on the indoor carpet.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

He will struggle, but he is willing to try all the surfaces.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Good to see Johnny win a couple of matches on the carpet. Hopefully he can pull through against Matty Ebden aswell.

Some photos of John in the Junior Pro Am. No results from his first round match against Simmonds. I think Simmonds has a very fast first serve but I could have him confused with someone else.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Is he still planning to quit at the end of the year if he isn't in the top 100?

I did read an article that said he will go to university if he doesn't make the "big time" by the end of the year. He is a smart guy, and doesn't want to be slogging away on the challenger circuit his whole career, but maybe he will rethink his goals at the end of the year.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

He has plenty of time for uni, but he needs to get back on the winning track.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

A lot of guys juggle uni while playing so that shouldn't really play a huge part in Johnny quitting at the end of the year, but he'll do what he wants to do.
