Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John is playing qualies at the AO.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He didn't enter or ask for a WC to Sydney. He has played quite a bit of tennis already and has bigger fish to fry.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

John has made a good start and beat Vagnozzi 6-3 6-2. Plays Phillip Oswald next.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

. I got worried when he went a break down near the end of the third. Hopefully he does well against Marchenko.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Millman what a warrior he is, coming back from a break down in the 3rd and Oswald called the trainer for a cramp issue, then when it was the change of ends he changed his mind.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Ouch. Didn't expect him to be beaten that easily. He did well to make the third round of qualifying. Hopefully he can go on and have a good year now.

Strange scoreline indeed, John did beat Marchenko last year in AO qualies, he must have improved a bit since then.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Marchenko played very well and this match showed where Johnny has to get better. The forehand is too much spin and not enough bite through the court.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
