Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Awesome result Mailman - delivered again. Really putting himself in the inside running for the RG WC, unless TA have given it to Slebden for DC duties.
Millman can push all of the draw opponents listed, and maybe beat them. What a great experience it will be.

I can't lose Johnny drew Zemlja.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Why should he win that match? It's one that could go either way it's not like Zemlja is a clay clown.

One thing in Millman's favour is he used to the conditions.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Zemlja hasnt been in good form. I know John hasn't set the world on fire. But 3 matches here already should help him. I would say John is favorite.

Zemlja win the first set 6-2. Millman is starting his comeback though. Playing much better in second set.

Millman was not the favourite with the books, you weren't giving Zemlja enough respect. He is better on the clay that is something that needs to be factored.
in. There was no stream, so I couldn't see how it went.

Zemlja 6-2 6-2

A little disappointing but not a bad effort to qualify

Zemlja 6-2 6-2
He had chances and just couldn't capitalise. Had a break point at 1-0 in second set and again had 0-30 at 2-1 up. Had Millman taken those, it could've changed. He had two tough matches against Stakhovsky and Phau and the week probably caught up. Still a great week and gains 6 more points for his ranking. (Gained 12 and lost 6) he will head to Challenger events in Bordeaux and Rome before Roland Garros. Something tells me he could be similar to Matosevic in 2012. Misses out on RG but gains enough points for Wimbledon MD.

I didn't say he'd win but the momentum could have won him a set, much like Stakhovsky yesterday. 60/40 in points reveal the real reason why Millman lost but he had mini chances.

You can' t tell how a match went without watching it on a stream at least. It's just speculation.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
