3-3 with John and Ito. I can hear the crowd while watching Hantuchova Vs Errani on tv good to see they are getting behind him.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

They should give him a night match and especially since he is a Brisbane local. TD should give him as many tickets as possible.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John thoroughly deserved the Wild Card and the win over Ito.
Millman did the right thing in December, chose to ignore the WC Play-off and had a great off-season, rested and then prepared well, to be in peak condition and ready to go at the right time.
Being the fifth ranked player of course hepled him make that decision, from a position of strength.
Looking forward to a good performance against Murray. Don't expect him to win but it will be great for John's experience and he will no doubt make Murray play a lot of balls.

John Millman delivering the goods at the Brisbane International
by: Andrew Hamilton From:

IS he the Milkman or the Mailman?

Local favourite John Millman has been tagged with both nicknames because "he always delivers".

"I'm pretty happy with that, I'll take either," Millman said yesterday after advancing to a meeting with top-seeded Scot Andy Murray.

The slow courtside chant "Millman, Millman, Millman" has echoed across the Queensland Tennis Centre this week, sounding a lot like the old calls that used to accompany Aussie cricket great Dennis Lillee's run-up.

Although he has quickly become a fan favourite, the media has not quite elevated him yet.

Only two journalists turned up for his post-match press conference in a tiny room. Next door in the main interview room, there was a full house as Murray gave his first interview.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
