Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John wins 7-6(5) 7-5 over Ilhan. Good win and now plays Beto Martin who came in for Kamke and beat Korolev in a 3 setter. Martin will make him work for it but it's just the type of match Johnny needs right now.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Beto Martin, thought he retired and is back on tour. Johnny will definitely get plenty of balls to hit.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

John lost the first 7-6 and was down 5-2 in the second. He saved 2mps on serve and holds for 5-3. Then he saved 2mps and breaks for 5-4.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

It is Andrej Martin, same age as Millman, who won the match 6-2 in the 3rd. Surprised - I thought the Mailman would outlast Andrej.

Went down 6-2 in the 3rd to Andrej Martin . Good fight to save match points and to win the tiebreak. Off to melbourne now.

Good it wasn't Beto Martin, doesn't matter more matches for the qualies next week.

Should be in Melbourne tomorrow hitting.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

The Mailman needs to learn how to close these matches. First vs. Ebden and then Beto's impersonification .

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

The Mailman's section not too bad in reality.

(10)Jesse Huta Galung (NED) vs. Gregoire Burquier (FRA)
Juan Sebastian Cabal (COL) vs. Peter Polansky (CAN)
Sebastian Rieschick (GER) vs. John Millman (AUS)
Andrey Kuznetsov (RUS) vs. (31)Vincent Millot (FRA)

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
