Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John ended up winning his QF before knocked out in the semis. A great week for him. Hopefully he can keep up this good form and take advantage of this period where he has hardly anything to defend.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

just as we mention his consistency he has a first round loss and a disappointing one too. Perhaps he wasn't 100%.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John has played a lot of events, so he is allowed an early loss. He works very hard and might be a bit off at the moment.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

John is having some shoulder problems, flying back to Australia, to have some MRI scans.

He has had the shoulder operated on before, just hope it's not serious.

Thanks for the update and not good news. Hopefully whatever the problem is it can be fixed. A shame as he looked like he was about to launch up the rankings over the next few months.

Hopefully it is not too serious and he can get back on the courts soon.

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

He ran the Gold Coast half marathon a few weeks ago, so his endurance base is still there, but not sure when he will be back, once I find anything out, then I will post it here.

The Mailman has been doing rehab and tentative comeback is scheduled for Darwin Futures in mid September.

Johnny is back on the tour, playing the Aussie Futures events and he made the semis in Darwin, so the shoulder seems to be holding up, no more problems for the rest of the year.

John won his 1st match 6-0 3-2, hope he can make the AO qualies direct, that would be a good achievement.

The Mailman beat Hensel 3-6 7-5 6-3 and plays Scotsman Jamie Baker in the final.

Good showing in the last couple of weeks by John after the long lay-off with injury.
