Nice Round 1: Marinko Matosevic Vs Robin Haase

Matosevic/Hewitt Vs Mahut/Roger-Vasselin

Winnable match in singles for Marinko. Good luck.

Re: The Mighty MM

terrible scoreline that. Not looking good for the French Open with this form. Wonder if he is injured.

Re: The Mighty MM

Stellar effort by Mato but he was never going to beat the Spanish Eveready Bunny.
Gave it a good shake and had Ferrer a bit worried when he led a double break 3-0 in 2nd set serving at 40-0. Took the foot off the petrol slightly and never-give-up-a-point Ferrer pegged him back and broke to get to 1-3. Ferrer then got back in the rhythm, and won 6 games in a row to win the 2nd set 6-3. It would have been interesting to see what happened if Mato held his serve to lead 4-0... but we never will know.
A great effort by Mato who played good aggressive tennis in the first set and a half which I watched.
Mato went down 64 63 64 - winning a lot more games than I thought he would.
He can be proud of his effort.

Tbh, not really. Still showed how mentally fragile he really is and while he did better than I was expecting as well he isn't going to go anywhere if he doesn't improve mentally.

Re: The Mighty MM

Hhmmmm - playing the 5th ranked player, who has been top 5 for years and arguably top three clay court player - and you guys expected better than that - broke Ferrer 4 times and led him 3-0, 40-0. Fought back from a break down twice...

Well fought Mato

Read my post, I thought he did better than I was expecting given his recent form. But if you watched the match you would see how mentall fragile he is and how you could see him fall apart at the big moments. He's not going anywhere unless he fixes it.
