Re: The Mighty MM

Marinko has advanced to the second round of Burnie to play Bernard Tomic. Should be very interesting as we all know what happened the last time they played!

Re: The Mighty MM

Marinko might finally get to complete the thrashing that he was robbed of last time.

Re: The Mighty MM

Has anyone actually seen this guy play?

He is 24 this year and not yet even in the top 250. Highly doubt he will ever be top 100, but all the best to him. Maybe if he got some assistance from TA (ie AIS scholarship) he could have a Sirianni like career.

Re: The Mighty MM

MM is no top 100 player of the future but it is good to see results. Good luck in Melbourne!

Marinko would really only need two or three good results at this point to really be a chance at making it in the big time. Maybe like two challenger wins and a Grand Slam win and hes all good.

I've just noticed that Marinko has won his last 7 matches. So I'm going to start a streak counter just like in Brydan's thread.

1. Bredan Moore 7-6(2) 7-6(5) (Berri)
2. Ze Zhang 6-2 6-2 (Berri)
3. Matt Reid 2-6 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
4. Ivo Klec 2-6 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
5. Colin Ebelthite 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
6. Hyun-woo Nam 6-4 6-1 (Melbourne)
7. Matt Ebden 5-7 6-1 7-6(6) (Melbourne)
8. Danai Udomchoke ???

Re: The Mighty MM

i was there today.matosevic should have won this match easier he had 5-4 set point and ebden framed and ace on a second serve.matosevic won the second vert easily and dominated the third and served for it at 5-4 but ebden broke back.he did well to win the breaker after all the that.

Re: The Mighty MM

Marinko had quite possibly the biggest win of his career today beating Danai Udomchoke 6-1 6-0.

1. Bredan Moore 7-6(2) 7-6(5) (Berri)
2. Ze Zhang 6-2 6-2 (Berri)
3. Matt Reid 2-6 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
4. Ivo Klec 2-6 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
5. Colin Ebelthite 6-3 6-4 (Berri)
6. Hyun-woo Nam 6-4 6-1 (Melbourne)
7. Matt Ebden 5-7 6-1 7-6(6) (Melbourne)
8. Danai Udomchoke 6-1 6-0 (Melbourne)
9. Colin Ebelthite ???

He should beat Ebelthite seeing as he got him in straights a week ago. If he wins he plays either Bernard who he has some history against now or Brydan who would be going for his 15 consecutive match victory. Battle of the winning streaks is my guess. Good news for his ranking too, if he loses to Ebelthite he jumps to around 249, if he beats Ebelthite and loses the final he jumps to around 237 and if he wins this challenger he jumps to about 221. So I think this means he should be done with futures and focus on challengers.
