Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Jason lost the final 7-5 6-3. Good effort but he was probably beaten by an opponent who was simply too good. He is backing up in another American Future this week where he will play a qualifier in the first round.

Baker (USA) - Bedene (SLO) - Bellucci (BRA) - Berta (SWE) - Cuevas (URU) - Domijan (USA) - Ebden (AUS) - Estrella (DOM) - Grigelis (LTU) - Guccione (AUS) - Heliovaara (FIN) - Kavcic (SLO) - King (BAH) - Kontinen (FIN) - Kubler (AUS) - Lajovic (SRB) - Matosevic (AUS) - McGee (IRE) - Millman (AUS) - Mitchell (AUS) - Nielsen (DEN) - Nieminen (FIN) - Paire (FRA) - Udomchoke (THA)

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Go for it Jason.
But watch that body. Should have a rest after two weeks into the finals. Like Duckworth did last year. Got to look after that young body and not overplay.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Kubler beats his fellow 1993 born player (and once regarded one of the very best prospects of his age) Carlos Boluda-Purkiss 6-3 6-1. Goes onto play one of the best (if not the best) 1995 born player, Yoshihito Nishioka.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Easily accounts for Nishioka 6-1 6-1. 3rd seed Christian Lindell is next.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

This is the guy (outside of Tomic) that Oz fans should be following. His results in the US futures over the last several months have been so stellar, and he seems to have a great deal of maturity and motivation for his age.

Good to hear. Where have you seen him play?

Jason easily beats Lindell and plays Pedro Sousa, the number one seed, in the semi-finals.

Yes definitely. I've seen heaps of interviews of him and he has a good head on his shoulders that's for sure.

Pedro is going to be a tough match. All the best Koobs.
