I agree Deck. I believe that he is in the best form of the lot of the Aussies!

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Yes, it was a good effort...he will be top 300 now. Hopefully he can sneak into the qualifying draw for a couple more ATP events in the US and give some of the bigger challengers a shake. Realistically, I think he can be top 200 by the end of the year, and that he should be given an Australian Open Wildcard...but that is a long way off yet

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Be great if Sam could win his first round match in Cordoba to set up a second round match with Dudi Sela from Israel.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Great win over Sela, now plays former world number 29 Fernando Vicente in the quarters.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Sam is up to circa 240 on the ATP Rankings
Watch him break the top 200 soon

Should be between him and Klein for the US Open wildcard

Is Smeets not allowed another WC?

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

^^^
Yes, he is,
but I would prefer to see TA give the wildcard to someone a little bit younger with some impressive results of their own.
Smeets has lived off TA handouts this year, someone else should get a chance for the US
