Sam through to the quaterfinals in Knoxville. Beat LL Fritz Wolmarans 4-6 6-1 7-6(4). Then beat local word number 151 Ryan Sweeting 7-6(3) 7-5. Takes on world 256 Tennys Sandgren. Go Sam good chane here.

Sam obviously trying to impress the AO wildcard selectors, he is definately in with a shot. Beating Sweeting is a great win for him.

Pleasantly suprised by the sweeting victory, always hard in those us challengers so this result will be good for him, even better if he can knock off Tennys in the q/f and keep this run going...

Definately doing all the right things to put his hand up...

great week...semis should see him up to around 215 in rankings....hopefully more...around 190 for final and 180 if he can win it...

An okay start to the year for Sam. He made the QF in the Challenger in Noumea and is in the final of the doubles.
