Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Groth just beat Lemke 6-0 6-2. He played awesome his groundstrokes were just awesome and have improved so much. His serve is still a big wepon alot of them going well over 200KMH.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Istomin should be tired after all his heroics in Brisbane and Sydney where he came through qualifying and did some great damage in the main draw. Good luck to Sam!

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Groth Def Millman 7-5 6-4. So happy. Served 15 aces. Semi final of a challenger is really going to help his ranking.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Non-windy conditions really are better for the power servers and hitters. Well done Sam.

Re: Samuel Groth: The Forgotten Australian

Sam gets one over Bryden Klein, coming back from losing the 1st set 16, to win the next two sets 63 75. He saved a match point at 4-5 30-40 down in the 3rd, but a couple of big serves saved the game. He then broke Klein to love, to go 6-5 up. He then went 15-40 down but saved those BP's to get back to deuce, and then served out the match.
He served the best in the 3rd set, at 64%, but only at 53% for the match, however winning 90% of those 1st serves.
Go big serving Sam.
