Anyway, he says he is going to be back on court some time in the next few weeks, so fingers crossed and I will update you if there is any news.
Thanks for keeping us informed Fee And now I know I never did see JMG actually play because I don't think I have ever seen a man play two handed on both sides

Re: 2006 Tournaments

^ I know Fabrice Santoro plays double handed on both sides. But still they're very different. JMG is more like a power player w/ big serves who likes to come into the net.

Hello there! Welcome to MTF and to the Jan-Mike forum. What city in India are you from?

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: 2006 Tournaments

I don't know who Jan is....

I just had a brief chat with Jan-Mike. He's in Hawaii (he lives there now), he's been practicing again and is almost 100%. He is getting ready to play team tennis beginning July 6th. He will see how that goes and then think about the rest of his schedule for this year. Sadly, I don't think he's been off 'attending parties' unless you consider unpacking boxes and consulting with architects/remodelers a social event...

Re: 2006 Tournaments

Jan-Mike is in Washington DC tonight. He plans to sign in for qualies on Friday, and based on the cut-off for last year, he should get in. His first match back on the tour since last year will be Saturday morning.
