No, he's in therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder to get over his horrid 2005 season.

Okay, I'm kidding. Yes, he's recovering from a lingering injury (and my vagueness is intentional).

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

I hope he gets better soon. Heck, if he comes to Holland in the near future I might have to go watch. And yes, I know that's not a reason to come to Holland. I'm lovely, but not that lovely.

Fan of:
David Ferrer , David Nalbandian, Nicolas Almagro, Feliciano Lopez, and Juan Monaco

Yes, that's who he is. Some of us had received emailed responses from him recently.

Ok, sorry. I didn't see any reply stating his event, so I thought I'd add mine. Additionally, staff often direct/manage several tournaments in a year.

It's like you said in some earlier posts. JMG seems to have a lot of injury problems You can't make much of a career out of tennis with all those injuries

Re: 2006 Tournaments

He's in Hawaii right now getting ready to play the Waikoloa Challenger that begins on Tuesday. Hopefully, he will be fit enough to give it a try by then.

I hope so. Fee I never did hear from those other two Tournaments that I did e-mails for JMG to get W/Cs. I can't remember when those Tournaments were so maybe JMG might not have been up to playing them anyway. I just wanted you to know I never did hear anything from them. Sorry I tried.

Re: 2006 Tournaments

Thanks, Mae. I didn't hear anything from them either. He will not be getting a wildcard from Delray or San Jose (unless one of the players who is getting a wildcard is unable to play). There is still one WC left for Memphis and one left for Las Vegas, but I don't think he will get one of those either. He will have to qualify for San Jose, and then just hope for the best.

Here is Jan-Michael's tentative schedule for the next few weeks:

Jan 23 - Waikoloa Challenger, Hawaii
Jan 28 - qualies at Delray Beach (unless he is in the Waikoloa semis)
Feb 6 - Dallas Challenger (tentatively)
Feb 11 - San Jose qualies
Feb 18 - Memphis qualies (unless he is in the San Jose semis, then he will get special entry into Memphis)
Feb 25 - Las Vegas qualies
Mar 8 - Indian Wells qualies (he will ask for a WC here as well)

Re: 2006 Tournaments

It must be very hard on JMG to try to play tennis yet having all the injury problems. And then he has a rough time even getting into the Tournaments. I'm sorry we couldn't help him out about the W/Cs. I thought for sure since those were U.S. Tournaments he would get a W/C into some of them since he is an American. I know other countries when they have Tournaments give out W/Cs to their players.

Re: 2006 Tournaments

I'm not sure how he's feeling since about Wednesday, I think it was. Personally, if he's not 100%, he should pull out, but I think that since he's there he will give it a try. He should be able to beat Wayne, but if he's not feeling strong it will be tough.
