Typical JMG
When I see pictures of him with endangered animals, it's just too sweet!
You can just tell that he respects them and is sort of...in awe of them? I can't really explain, but I went to the ATP Insider pics, and you can see the look in his eyes!

Re: Jan Michael Gambill

JMG-Good luck in Florida. I hope he can get a couple of wins (at least!) under his belt, purely for the confidence side of things... Relax and enjoy himself, then start the Clay court season (not his favourite but anyway,) and win RG for Jules and I .
Plus the time difference is better, so he'll have more time to chat online God, I'm so selfish.

Re: Jan Michael Gambill

He has to play Indian Wells first, and he has points to defend there. Also, he may skip clay entirely this year, including Roland Garros. If he's not ranked in the Top 100 again by April 11th, he won't get direct entry and considering how he performs on clay I don't think he would enter qualifying. Personally, I think he should skip it all and I told him so in San Jose. It just knocks him off track for a while.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Jan Michael Gambill

Fee, if he skips the clay season, are there non-clay challengers or something that he could play instead in order to get some matches in, maybe pick up a few points here and there, and gain some confidence/momentum?

Re: Jan Michael Gambill

Yep, there are 3 starting with the Tallahassee Challenger on April 4th, which is hardcourt and even without asking him, I'm pretty sure he will enter it. He has absolutely no points to defend after Miami, so he could just stay home and prepare for grass if he wanted to. I just don't want him anywhere near clay this year, not even Houston. It gets into his head and it takes him weeks to get over it. He'd be better off staying home and running the hills around his house (and I would be more than happy to go up there and chase him !)
