Re: Borna Coric

Borna is also playing doubles; he and Milojevic are top seeds.

But I wonder why Borna is playing the G1 in the Czech Republic rather than the G1 in Croatia, especially since the one in Croatia has a weaker draw

You're right--my bad. On the ITF website, I confused the Philippine and Czech flags

Well, they *are* similar

Re: Borna Coric

This is fucking awsome!!!
He trains alot with Goran Ivanisevic!!

They were training before his asian swing and they do it again before clay swing. That's I like it.
Good thing is both live in Zagreb.

Yes and Goran said that if Borna will not be a great player that would be a miracle...

Re: Borna Coric

Today in 3rd round Borna will play against Konstantin Gerlakh. He is #74 on junior ranking list, but with a CH #46.He is 2 years and 4 months older than Borna, he usually play senior tournaments last 12 months.

They played two times last year against each other:

Pancevo G2 semi-final: Gerlakh won 6-1 7-5

Novi Sad G2 (1/8 final): Borna won 6-1 6-0...

Who knows how this is gonna end...Good luck Borna!!!

As expected Borna won easily, 62 63.

He is in semis of doubles, too.

Re: Borna Coric

In QF Borna plays Bambridge. He's seeded lower than Borna (#7 vs #4) but is ranked higher this week (#37 vs #41).

That's because last week Bambridge won the G2 in France and moved up 19 spots. However, he had a very easy draw--all his opponents were unseeded. Also, last month he won the Gerdau (Grade A) doubles title.

Good luck, Borna!
