Does anyone know if Taylor has an official site (or a good fansite)? Thanks!

By the ATP tour. Go to a search engine and type in his name. I'll have a look for you.

He plays an Italian who was thrashed by Henman in Vienna so should win.

Re: Taylor Dent cheering thread

Poor Taylor That is really too bad that he had to qualify b/c his rankings were below #41 as of a whole month ago!!! That seems unfair that it's not more current who has to qualify and stuff... oh well, what is his next tourney? Basel? Stockholm? And then Paris? Maybe he'll be considered enough to qualify for Paris directly into the main draw.

I love watching Taylor play - it's so nice to see a different playing style for once!!

Way to go Taylor on being named Player of the Month! That's awesome!

http://taylordent.freeservers.com/index2.html Try that address. I've never been there before today, but it looks decent and apparently it's the only one! Course, they don't have this weeks tournament up there...

Go Taylor!

Yea, that's pretty much the only Taylor site online, but it's not official

Taylor lost in qualies. It was a three set loss, but he wasn't on form.
Oh well, not to worry, there's always next week.

Re: Taylor Dent cheering thread

Aww man! That sucks!

Yeah, I noticed that the site isn't Official...wonder why he doesn't have one? Most of the players do...and he's fairly popular. (Not judging by this thread, of course! lol) Strange.

Anyway, good luck to Taylor next week. I guess we couldn't expect the winning ways to continue, indefinitely, huh? Now as long as Mike and Bob play well, I'll still be happy! GO MIKE AND BOB!!

Re: Re: Taylor Dent cheering thread

Talyor is playing in Stockholm this week. However, he plays the number 2 seed, Sjeng schalken. But if he plays like he did when he won his titles Sjeng is beatable.
Go Taylor!

Talking Hi!

Hi Peeps!

My name is Jacqueline (i'm 30 if that is even important ) and a huge fan of Taylor! I joined the whole forum a couple of months ago but for some reason i've never braved posting until now

That website for Tails is not official, but tennisdear (who runs it) is lovely and is does a lot to update that site as often as possible. She is busy with school at the moment (if I remember!). If you join the Taylor Dent Yahoo mailing list you will get updated on there a fair bit too.

I don't see Tails to often on the UK telly screens So when I do its always a pleasure I love his game. I'm not normally one for all the really technical terms in tennis - I just simply sit back and enjoy - but I do love the power game as well as the serve & volley and Tails has both so I am pleased. I saw his match with Agassi. It was great! I think he was going to win to be honest. I don't think Agassi really had a clue what to do - until poor Tails become injured and Andre ceized his opportunity

Well I am off to bed as i'm feeling tired. Just thought i'd post and let you know that as a fan of Taylor I exist also There are more fans out there though - some may just not know about the forum.

Take Care Peeps!
Jac

Re: Taylor Dent cheering thread

News from the qualies in Paris:

merican top-seeded Taylor Dent was sent crashing in the opening round of the qualifying on Saturday, bowing out to French journeyman Nicolas Mahut.

Up a set and 4-1 in the second set, Dent looked every bit of the unbeatable player who dominated the field these past couple of weeks after his title wins in Bangkok and Moscow.

But the American, despite firing 21 aces, collapsed, squandering two match points as the 21-year-old Frenchman battled on to earn a spectacular 2-6, 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (7/4) come-back victory.

The 108-ranked Mahut, having by far his best season in 2003 on the circuit, kept grinding down his 33-ranked opponent and remained aggressive throughout the encounter.

"I like the challenge of those matches. I like playing against such players. It allows me to bring the best out of me," said Mahut, who received a wild card in the qualifying event and who will now face Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia for a spot in the main draw.

Re: Taylor Dent cheering thread

Hello to Star and JaredPalmerFan! (oooh, a doubles fan! Wooo!) Great to have you both here. Sam and I were all alone for awhile.

Taylor has been playing some wonderful tennis the last couple of weeks. Wonder what happened in the qualies, that he would self-destruct like that? Injury? Anyone know?

Anyway, great year for Taylor! Can't wait to see him next year.
