Re: Jack Sock

I just went to stopstream.tv and found one.. Sock can definitely get through qualies here.. Feels like he's just on the brink of breaking out.

Wow, I didn't realise that he has to play Witten or Wolermans later today as well...

Re: Jack Sock

I enjoyed Jack's match against Zopp today despite the ups and downs and the fact that he made me wilted in the sun longer than I needed to be .

Half-way through the 2nd set, one would think that he would run away with the match being a break up. Instead, he gave the break back with silly errors . Jack was a crowd pleaser with his flashy winners and the crowd was great getting behind him. One of the spectators screamed his name trying to give him some encouragement and Jack looked up at the stand with a smile.

There were several people in the front row, probably his support camp, that were emotionally affected by Jack's plays. It was quite hilarious to watch their reactions after each point .

About 2 hrs away. The weather was great (surprisingly not too hot) and I took a lot of pictures (will try to upload more tomorrow). I tried to watch as many matches as I could but there were too many going on at the same time. I was disappointed that I missed McClune's and Quigley's match.

Re: Jack Sock

That's cool. Anyway good day for Jack. I was worried in his first match when he lost his break and was down SP in the TB.

Re: Jack Sock

McClune is underrated IMO. He has a very good serve and forehand. Jack's first two opponents were good match up for him b/c he can dictate points with his forehand. McClune on the other hand, very tough to do against b/c his forehand has a lot of pace and depth. I hope Jack can defend his points at the Open.

Sock keeps on rolling, heading to the 3rd round to face Almago.
